Assure Women’s Center is a Christ-centered agency dedicated to being the first step for women facing an unexpected pregnancy. Using the proven SperaVita Patient process, we aim to transform their fear into confidence by addressing their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs and equipping them to make healthy, life-affirming decisions.
Prayerful Beginnings
The 1980s
Assure begins as a group of individuals who stood on sidewalks across from abortion clinics, praying and trying to share the truth with women about the decisions they were making.
With an initial gift of $500, AAA Crisis Pregnancy Center launched in 1986.
The 1990s
With a solid team of volunteers and a handful of staff, we changed our name to AAA Center for Pregnancy Counseling.
The 2000s
In 2001, we added limited obstetrical ultrasounds, giving women a glimpse of their precious pre-born babies. We also added Parenting Classes and a Baby Boutique to support women and families who chose life.
Our Healthy Relationship Education Department opened in 2003, and we began sending speakers to public middle and high schools to challenge and equip students to wait until marriage for sex.
We were gifted our building on Sorensen Parkway in North Omaha.
That same year, we spent 40 days in prayer and fasting, wanting God to do more with the ministry. This time of prayer led us to a patient process that transformed how we served the women. We saw both our patient numbers and life choices dramatically increase.
2010s
In 2013, our name changed to Assure Women’s Center, and we opened our second location.
Assure launched a National Training Program in 2014, offering coaching services to other centers – based on the linear patient process – to better reach and serve those most at risk for abortion in their communities.
2020s
In 2020, Assure created a new non-profit, SperaVita Institute, to oversee and market our National Training Program, which has trained 99 centers across 34 states and 3 nations.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions and a desire to reach more youth with our message of healthy relationships, we launched WholeHeartEd. This ministry utilizes social media to communicate our message through interactive content and video presentations.
In 2022, Assure purchased a Mobile Pregnancy Clinic
Assure completely remodeled their headquarters location in 2023.
