Patient Advocate*

To be a Patient Advocate, we request the following:

• Women 19 to 99 with a heart for saving women and children from abortion.
• Must be willing to make a year-long commitment to volunteering 3x a month.
• Must be able to fulfill a shift length of 2¹⁄₂ to 4 hours.

Receptionist

All Receptionist positions are currently filled.

Be the welcoming face to all patients and clients who enter the Center. Duties include:

• Check patients in when they arrive.
• Answer the phone and transfer calls.
• Do light administrative work such as filing.
• Must be willing to work 3x per month at a minimum.
• Only available at our West office.

Parenting Teacher

We are looking for a volunteer to facilitate parenting classes using an established curriculum. Classes usually consist of 10 students and meet once a week for 6 weeks. They are held on Monday mornings from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Duties include:

• Grade homework.
• Answer questions.
• Develop relationships with our clients.
• Must serve on a rotation of 6 weeks of teaching followed by 12 weeks off.

Boutique Associate

Our Boutique Associate develops amazing relationships with our clients who “shop” the boutique. Duties include:

• Organize the boutique.
• Restock merchandise.
• Keep track of the points earned and the point balance of each student.
• Serve as “cashier” when clients use points to make “purchases.”
• Must commit to one boutique shift per month or more.
• Boutique hours are Mondays from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Office Assistant

Our Office Assistant volunteer serves outside of patient hours. Duties include:

• Make copies of the paperwork.
• Organize and file paperwork.
• Attach mailing labels.
• Other duties assigned.
• Must commit to volunteering 2x a month.

Yardwork and Landscaping

We want our Center to look as welcoming and attractive as possible. Duties include:

• Pulling weeds.
• Watering flower beds.
• Maintaining beds in spring, summer, and fall.

Mobile Unit Pit Crew

Help Assure Women’s Center keep our new mobile unit in working order, including scheduling and performing routine maintenance

*These volunteer opportunities are available at both Omaha locations. All others are available only at the Hartford office located at 6510 Sorensen Parkway.
